Business brokers · Toronto & the GTA
Sell Business Toronto
Confidential brokerage for owners ready to sell a business, and for buyers looking to acquire one, across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. Main-street operators through to multi-million dollar enterprises, handled by one broker from valuation to closing.
Selling
A business only sells once. Run the process properly.
Most owners in the GTA go to market with an asking price built on instinct and a buyer list of one. The result is a discounted price, or a deal that collapses in due diligence. A structured, confidential sale process fixes both problems: it puts a defensible number on the business, brings several capable buyers to the table at the same time, and keeps the pressure on them rather than on you.
01
Confidential valuation
We normalize your financials, rebuild owner earnings (SDE or EBITDA) and benchmark them against real GTA transaction multiples so the asking price stands up to a buyer's accountant.
02
Blind marketing package
Your company is presented anonymously first. Staff, customers and suppliers learn nothing until a screened buyer signs a non-disclosure agreement and clears a financial review.
03
Qualified buyer search
Listings reach private buyers, search funds, strategic acquirers and immigration-driven purchasers, alongside direct outreach to companies that already want your market position.
04
Offers & negotiation
Letters of intent are compared on real terms, price, deposit, vendor take-back, earn-out, transition period and working-capital adjustment, not headline numbers alone.
05
Diligence to closing
We keep lenders, lawyers, accountants and landlords moving in one lane, resolve lease assignments and franchise transfers, and protect the deal through to funding day.
Buying
Buy a business in the GTA with your eyes open.
Buying an established company beats starting from zero: revenue, staff, systems, suppliers and a customer base already exist on day one, and lenders finance proven cash flow far more readily than a business plan. The work is in telling a genuinely good business apart from one that only looks good on a summary sheet.
Define the mandate
Budget, financing capacity, industry appetite, hours you actually want to work and how much operating risk you can carry, written down before a single listing is reviewed.
See vetted opportunities
Established, cash-flowing GTA businesses, plus quiet off-market opportunities where the owner has not publicly announced a sale.
Underwrite the numbers
Recast earnings, customer concentration, lease exposure, equipment condition, staff dependency and how much of the profit really survives the owner's departure.
Finance and close
Structure the offer alongside lenders and CSBFP options, coordinate diligence and secure a transition that keeps revenue intact after possession.
Didn't see the business you want? A buy-side search mandate approaches owners in your target sector directly, including those who have never listed publicly.

Questions
Selling or buying, answered.
+What is my Toronto business worth?
Most owner-operated GTA businesses trade on a multiple of seller's discretionary earnings, typically between two and four times, while larger companies with management in place are priced on EBITDA and can command more. Recurring revenue, contract backlog, transferable customer relationships, a clean lease and accurate books all push the number up.
+How long does it take to sell a business in Toronto?
Prepared, profitable businesses generally take six to nine months from listing to closing. Roughly half of that time is spent finding the right buyer and the other half on financing, due diligence and legal work.
+Will my employees and customers find out?
Not from us. The business is marketed on a no-name basis, every buyer signs a confidentiality agreement and proves capacity before receiving identifying details, and site visits happen outside operating hours whenever possible.
+What does a business broker charge?
A success fee is paid by the seller at closing, agreed in writing before any marketing begins. Buyers working with us on an acquisition search are quoted separately and always in advance.
+Do you help buyers as well as sellers?
Yes. Buy-side representation covers target identification, direct approaches to owners who have not listed, valuation support, offer structuring and diligence coordination.
+Can I sell the business and keep the real estate?
Frequently, yes. Many GTA owners sell the operating company and retain the building as a leased investment, or sell both together when the buyer wants the property. Because this practice also handles commercial real estate, both sides of that decision are priced properly.
